R+S DELIVERS ELECTRICAL INSTALLATIONS FOR INO-ZENTRUM

The new Intensive Care, Emergency and Surgery Centre (INO) at Fulda Hospital opens on 14 May, improving medical care in the region in a facility covering 37,000 square metres. The R+S Group was responsible for the electrical installations on what has been Fulda’s largest construction site.
Due to sensitive medical technology and high legal requirements regarding reliability, the work was demanding. R+S project manager Christian Schertell explains the dimensions: “If the nurse call is activated, it must function just as smoothly as the fire alarm system and the safety lighting. We were responsible for all the electrical installations in the new INO Centre, apart from the emergency power generator. This includes the cabling for the measurement and control technology as well as the EDP system for the entire building. High voltage installation, a medium voltage ring and new transformer technology were what made the infrastructure possible in the first place. The INO centre is huge and everywhere there are special requirements for safety and hygiene. The integration into the existing systems was also part of our scope of duties. The sanitary installations were also delivered by RUF Gebäudetechnik GmbH”.
R+S CEO Ralph Burkhardt sees the successfully completed major order as confirmation of the extensive service portfolio of the R+S Group: “Our forte lies in the targeted bundling of skills so that we can provide customers with an all-in, one-stop service. For every project and every construction project, we start by putting together an interdisciplinary team of experts who together combine the skills required for a sustainable and innovative solution.
